I just love the de-boss/emboss wood-grain texture on these Sofia hotel custom card sleeves and have since the first time I saw them.

I met you several years ago at an AIGA lunch, when I still lived in San Diego. The new site is beautiful as is the work on this project. I was wondering, when you had the embossing done on the folders how did you manage to hold the fine detail?

We used a two part (male/female), heat set, metal die for these. The metal die combined with heat lets you hit the paper harder and makes a more defined impression. The fine detail was a challenge. Glad you noticed. Cheers.
