Located at the intersection of Union and Beech Streets in the Little Italy neighborhood of Downtown, Aperture is a condominium development featuring 11 stories and 86 residences. Constructed by CityMark in 2007, Aperture carries the same principles of functional, urban, and contemporary design. HollisBC developed a complete signage system including Building address, door IDs, ADA regulatory signs and Tenant Criteria program.

My favorite part of this program is the natural and unfinished materials. Both raw and color-stained MDF sign panels, and the best part is the last frame here – the overhead PARK sign. The sign company reviewed our drawings, discussed and then returned to say they weren’t sure how to effectively replicate the “wood effect” from our drawings. We suggested they use wood.
